What you see is what you get
Vanday is new — but new doesn't mean fragile. Here's exactly what you get: the infrastructure, the honest commitments, and a real person behind it, run like the small shop on Main Street.
Yes, Vanday is a new product, but do not underestimate it. Vanday comes with more than just the key features you need for end-to-end digital asset management. It also comes with a hardened infrastructure, R2 backups, error monitoring, and vetted recovery plans.
Here’s what you can expect regarding reliability, recovery, and security.
Reliability
- Error monitoring that pages me, not you. When something breaks, I usually hear about it before you do — and you get a friendly message instead of a blank screen.
- It runs on managed cloud infrastructure (Fly.io) with health checks. If the app hiccups, it restarts itself automatically — no waiting on someone to notice.
Recovery
- Off-site backups. Your catalog and every file are backed up to separate cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) — with a documented, vetted restore process, not just a promise on a status page.
- A 30-day safety net. Delete something by accident and it isn’t gone — it sits in a recoverable trash for 30 days before it’s ever purged.
Security
- Logins handled by Clerk, a dedicated authentication provider. I don’t roll my own password security — and I don’t want to.
- Your connected accounts are encrypted at rest. Drive, Shopify, and social tokens are stored encrypted, so a leaked database file alone can’t expose your accounts.
- Every workspace is walled off from every other. Your assets are yours — isolated, full stop.
- Payments run through Stripe. Your card details never touch Vanday’s servers.
- Everything moves over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
I have personally been building, using, and/or supporting DAM customers for 25 years. I know your pain (in DAM) and believe I can help with great software. Easy to use software. Simple self-service software.
But we are different from other offerings.
What you won’t get:
- An enterprise sales rep
- Three emails a day
- Surprise feature gates to upsell you
- Mysterious value propositions
- Promises of things that won’t be built
What you will get:
- Fair pricing
- Features that do what they say they do
- Honest commitments to future features with real timelines
- A line of communication to a real person
- My personal commitment to your satisfaction with the software. If we fail — let’s talk. No nickel-and-diming: a promise of a path to your success, or a cancellation, even if you’re on the annual plan.
I am in this business to solve problems and build relationships. We’re brand new, but think about the local shop in a small town that’s been around for 50 years — stocking what their customers need, always available to chat. That’s me!
And I’m genuinely passionate about DAM and operational efficiency — if you’ve worked with me before, you already know this.
No crazy aspirations of getting acquired or going public. I’ve been in the Silicon Valley game, and I didn’t love it.
If this resonates with you, I hope you’ll give Vanday a try. Or if you just want to talk about DAM, I’m here for that too!
Stop losing the work you paid for.
